I applied for a connection on 8th of October 2004.
These guys promptly disappeared with my money and calls to the call center were of no use.
Only a personal visit to their office with threats of taking them to consumer court finally got my account working on 24 December.
Now the connection works - SOMETIMES.
Every other day the modem refuses to connect with their server and I get a message saying Connecting via WAN Miniport PPPOE and then nothing.
I recently found out that Iqara is a British company.
The Brits ruled us for more than a hundred years and dealt out shoddy goods to us.
I see that they are still at it. Have been kicking myself for paying money to a Brit company - who still insist on treating customers in this country like coolies or natives.
I am quite glad that Indian BPOs are taking away Brit jobs these days :-)
Guys - save yourselves some trouble - try DSL or Dataone
These guys are incompetent.
