First of all the way the booking system has developed is so worst that it’s not of any use. If you cannot handle a known network traffic for days within your website why bother developing mobile app.
Second charges, there seems to be a booking charge + bank charges etc etc....how many charges you apply for a ticket? If a passenger end up with out a confirmed ticket they would be still loosing money if they cancel the ticket for unconfirmed tickets.
So this IRCTC as a website earn money irrespective of whatever may be the ticket status. It’s not a service rather an organised loot agency funded by the people
