I have been using this app for around few months now this is my reviews based on my observation from last few months.
USER INTERFACE:
the user interface of this app is very simple which is the main advantage of using this app
all the options are clearly visible and a new user can also easily operate this app.
PNR ENQUIRY:
by using this app one can easily know information regarding the PNR number so for PNR enquiry this app is very good.
These were positives about this app and now I will tell you the worst part of this app.
TICKET BOOKING :
in normal ticket book one may not find any major problems the problem starts when one try to book tatkal ticket at that time the server of this app won’t work and this app won’t work even if you are using a very high speed connection.
One day I was trying to book a tatkal ticket from this app the tatkal booking starts at 11: 00 so I opened the app at 10: 50 the app opened very easily but till 10: 57 it showed session time out and I was logged out from the app after that I tried a lot to again start the app but failed everytime. After lot of effort the app finally started at 11: 03 and their were few seats available in tatkal quota. I was successful to grab one but the main problem started at time of payment first I tried to pay from Mobikwik the payment was deducted but ticket was not booked after that I again tried to book one from my paytm balance this time also the payment was deducted but booking was unsuccessful and I ended up paying 900 and without successfully booking tickets, I got my money back after 7 days from side of paytm and Mobikwik I even contacted the irctc executive but I didn’t got any reply from their side this shows how unprofessional they are.
PAYMENT:
The payment in irctc app is very troublesome task and you may end up wasting you time and money:
CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
The customer support of this app is very poor they don’t take it important to reply to queries of customers overall we can say that their customer support is very pathetic.
FINAL VERDICT:
At last I would advice you to use paytm app for ticket booking but if you want to book tatkal ticket go with irctc site in pc instead of using irctc app.
