I travel a number of times between Bangalore and Kacheguda. I usually travel in second AC, and book well in advance. A strange thing happens always. No matter how early we book our tickets, we always end up getting side lower berth and upper berths(3 tickets). It is kind of obvious that the second AC in this Bangalore express is limited , and most of the berths are booked for quota purposes.
The irony is that those who book in RAC get the lower berths . ( due to release of that quota). This causes a lot of heartburn , since we book months in advance , but do not get lower berths. ( senior citizens too).
Why can’t we have a option like, "if LB is available will be re-allotted ". Alternately the "quota" berths could be allotted for upper berths and general public may be allotted lower ones.
