Irctc.co.in is an Indian website for booking train tickets, catering services and tourism services of the railways.
This site has its own advantages or disadvantages. Mostly I do use this site for train ticket booking only. it shows the instantaneous availability of the seats and also if there are so many seats available than it lets you to choose your berth preference and after that you got two more options that is, whether you want to book ticket even if the preferred berth is not available or book the ticket anyway. So, for booking tickets prior to a day before traveling and if the rush on that train doesn’t get too much normally than it’s easy to book tickets from irctc website.
But, when we try to book tatkal ticket than there is 80% chance that the ticket won’t get booked as their server runs slower than a tortoise. Doesn’t matter whether you have a 3G or 4G, it just takes time.
Tatkal booking is a major drawback in irctc website.
