We had a very bad experience recently at IRIS Kolkata( Garia), my mother was admitted and finally passed away. It was very painful for me.
This hospital runs like a hotel. Bunch is illiterate doctors and very poor administration or management. Inspite of having your patient in a single room you will need to manage it yourself. The nurses don’t come when needed for injection or help. They are super busy, the hospital has done huge cost saving by keeping less than half of staff needed to serve the patients, so any moment if your patient is in serious condition it poses a huge risks. They forgot giving my mother medicines and I can catch them every time, they would delay giving breakfast, lunch and dinner unless you shout at them everyday. The nurses are demotivated by their management and find it difficult to multitask so much between patients.
Their is a dietian who is a fashion conscious lady, she will come once a while and ask how is everything, I remember telling her several time how poor the food was and how they missed my mothers diet every time, but they have become shameless.
Bunch of inexperienced doctors, its pathetic to see the state of the patients and their family, I hope no one admits here anymore. It was big mistake to choose this hospital I will always regret.
I am sure with such poor dedication to service this hospital will soon become another hotel or shopping mall!
Place looks cool from outside so do not get baised by its looks!
