OK, after Superman, Batman, Spiderman add one more Super Hero in your fantasy list – Iron Man. Hollywood never seizes to amaze with its creativity and Super Avatars. The new incarnation of Power, Action and Save the World Attitude is the summary for latest movie running at theaters now – IRON MAN. If you have still not seen it, then you are strongly recommended to watch it in a big-hall. You will be entertained. Guaranteed.
Director Jon Favreau has managed to mix comedy, stunning visual effects, action and subtle message in this film Iron Man, thus making it a must watch movie for all generations.
Robert Downey Jr. as Mr Tony Stark is a genius who inherits Weapon Manufacturing Company from his visionary father. Under Tony’s leadership and brilliance, the company Stark Industries becomes the world largest supplier of lethal weapons with chief patron being United States Military. Unfortunately some of the weapons are getting in the hands to Terrorists. While a trip to Afghanistan to demonstrate his most lethal missile, Tony gets captured by Afghan Mujahedeen in an ambush.
You may find it funny to hear Hindi / Urdu words being used by Afghan Terrorists in this movie. Well once upon a time, Kandahar was part of Buddhist India(Gupta and Maurya Dynasty), so who knows people may still be speaking Hindi over there. Any way, back to the story. So, Mr Tony is pushed hard to re-create the missile in the captivity with practically no resource. Well, our hero in the movie, ends up making a formidable Iron Suit from junk for himself to become Iron Man. So, now we have a new hero emerging out of Afghan Caves. Cheers!
Don’t worry, I have not shared with you the story as that is just beginning. The movie goes through many twist and turns and you may find it worth watching it. I am sure soon scientists around the world will be inspired by this movie to make flying suit replacing big and bulky fighter Aircrafts.
Personally, I would have liked Tom Cruise doing the Tony Stark role by Robert Downey Jr. is not so impressive. Gwyneth Paltrow as Ms Pepper Potts however is looking pretty. Again Terrence Howard has very limited and non impressive role. The villains(yes 2 of them, watch it to find out) have done a good job. Over-all a brilliant entertaining movie. I am more than happy to rate it 4.50 on 5 Stars. The sequel is on the way the successful Iron Man. For Sure.
