My review is no. 13, is that some no.
The thrill of watching a Tiger hunting its prey is good to a normal eye, we love to watch whenever the same appears on National Geograpic or Discovery, the thrill remains good untill we see the tiger upfront, it has to be killed before it kills us.
The above few lines are highly unrelative to the topic but just let me try and get it in relation with the same, Mouthshut is a website of product reviews and opinions, forums, advices are a part to make it more worthwhile.
The very basis of this topic to come into existence is the fact why does the need arises to ban someone, Well whatever reasons the site provides are Multiple Ids, Copyrighted reviews, member abuse, thought provoking reviews etc etc.
What surprises me the basis of banning a member is funny.
1) Multiple Ids:: Well Mouthshut and a normal MS user both are value to it, If a user no matter genuine or not if at all helps the site with a worthwhile content then why to ban them, Because to be very honest if look at this perspective Member reads for a particular review form only a part of 10% reads or even lesser, so the other readers who just read the review and not the member are not concerned an inch about whether the member is a contorversy creator or a said member is a Star Writer, So the issue of multiple ids is only important to members of MS who give much interest to what is happening on the site.
SENSATION
Good and a Bad id created with a chance to attack members and then writing worth reviews with the good id is the basic mode of operation or the need to create such an id. So in my opinion Ban only the Ids which write absurd, obscene reviews because this directly hinders the interest of the site.
Its an observed as well as known fact that MS wants something that makes this site more flashy and generates more hits, The view from the Websites point of view is absolutely write and I support them that they need hits to site, So one such advantage of such reviewers is they bring in people and when people flock the site every review is bound to take the some part of the hits generated, otherwise you know the state of reviews, Nowadays.
2) Member Abuses:: Yes straight away ban them or another solution to this is to mail the abused member and ask for his/her verdict, Like for say I read a review from a Member called Ghaznavi, in which he on purpose mentioned names of the members for no reason, So MS should ask such members and let them be the judge. Then ofcourse its upto MS.
3)Thought Provoking Reviews:: Thats funny and I should laugh at this, On MS I assume that people have there own mindset and opinions, so writing something thought provoking that make a hellbound difference in the mind of the people reading is madness, If you all remember in my review on General Thoughts about Mouthshut I said that MS is from no where an influencer of a Mass Opinion, so how come a review can provoke something is questionable.
So we analyzed few causes only a few as the site is so dynamic it might come up with all new kinds of reasons to ban a particular member, The thing is If MS wants one it will make one and if it doesnt than there are 1000 reasons to Ban someone isnt it.
MS becomes ruthless while deleting the reviews, now thats where it hurts most, They are prompt to delete bad reviews then why on Earth the reviews from members like Quadi are still online, No answers for that. I dont want an answer either.
The review reflects nothing material but I must I was highly impressed with the review from Swaraj Mishra so you better read that for more answers, So is MS justified to do so?
the answer to this question is No/Yes for us the users and Ofcourse YES at our will for MS.
Now let me come to where we started MS looks at the member hitting hard at other members as the scene of Jungle Hunt but whenever the member start gettting back at MS it gets into things like Banning and Flagging, So the Verdict is
You are a Prince till you kill the people of Kingdom, once you try to Get even with the King, you are history
Thank you for reading, I would appreciate a comment.
