Ishq Vishk good entertainer

ISHQ VISHK Once again Mills & Boons type of love story revolving around College Canteen and College Campus. Which naturally gives an impression that the present generation college students pays up their college fees just to idle their time in College Canteen or College Campus as they are never shown in their class.

Ishq Vishk is once again the story of childhood love, which means the ending is very well known to all viewers as whatever obstacle comes across their path their love is sure to succeed as it is childhood love.

Ishq Vishk revolves around a college where each and every girl except the leading lady Payal (Amrita Rao) moves around in mini’s and micro mini’s. The leading lady is not interested in the mini culture and hence she is nick named as behanji in her college. Just because of her simplicity each and every person in the college including her childhood love Rajiv (Shahid) tries to take her for a ride.

Once the students plans for a overnight picnic with a condition that no one is allowed without their partners. To get a partner for picnic Rajiv tells Payal that he loves her and Payal reciprocates his love. During the picnic Rajiv tries to advance towards her and tries to get her into a physical relationship which Payal declines. Rajiv gets frustrated and starts hunting someone for his passion.

Here enters Alisha (Shenaz) who joins their college, Alisha is a great fan of Sachin Tendulkar. Rajiv tries to woo Alisha by trying to prove that Sachin is a close friend of him and he makes her believe by bringing Sachin look alike to the college. Alisha falls in his trap.

In the meanwhile Rajiv’s close friend Mambo (Vishal Malhotra) starts going around with Payal. Looking at Mambo going around with Payal Rajiv gets frustrated and realises his love for Payal. He goes to Payal and apologises and wins back his childhood love.

Performance wise all the three leading stars Shahid, Amrita and Shenaz have performed well and have good scope for further improvement. Vishal Malhotra as Mambo is a good support. Music by Anu Malik is ok and hummable and stays in your memory atleast for a day or two. Cinematography by Amit Roy is quite fine. Direction by Ken Ghosh is not bad.

On the whole though there no good story it is a good entertainer which keeps you away from your worries for about 140 minutes. Of all the movies released recently one can blindly bet on Ishq Vishk.
