Ishqiya for vidya!

Again something from vishal bhardwaj camp you feel addicted to! Arshad warsi and naseeruddin shah play bhopali goons, running for their lives from another bhopali. This movie comes with a power packed performance from the whole cast, be it the ever so wonderful naseeruddin shah or the 15 yr old boy called nandu. Vidya balan proves her mettle again as a seductress par excellence. Another rekha in the making. Arshad warsi acts flawlessly! The ensemble cast is awesome.

The story revolves around the three lead actors who have their own stories which have been said in a docile and short way which is very appealing. U get attached to the characters. The story is based in a naxalite village near gorakhpur. The dialogues are well written and beautifully enacted. The lingo used is funny but true to the niche.it mildly brings abt the problems in the area along with their brilliant humor! A kidnapping plot is laid for a crorepati, which turns out to be fatal for all!

Despite the story not being extraordinary the movie works wonderfully all b coz of the direction and the performances. The song, dil toh bacchha hai ji stands out bcoz of naseeruddin shah’s expressions, an old man in love much like an adoloscent. The end is somewhat weird, but is manageable. The movie hasw some wow moments, but nothing that will make u jump of the seat. All in all its a dark humor well encted, a must watch for all vishal bhardwaj fans. His xe asst director copies him well!
