ISKCON - a model for Hindu Temples/Institutes

Since the past couple of decades, I have been pretty much into religion and spirituality etc. Hence I do visit various temples regularly in whichever part of the world I am in. Probably mid-2000s was the time when I visited an ISKCON temple for the first time in my life. And since then I have visited a number of different ISKCON temples in various cities of India. I must admit that I am immensely impressed by all ISKCON temples. They are really beautiful, well-designed, well-landscaped, well-maintained and clean. They boast of excellent infrastructure, facilities, amenities etc. I really wish that all temples in India followed the ISKCON model! How awesome that would have been! Fantastic! An Iskcon temple generally has a book shop and a gift shop on the campus. These shops are really amazing with such a wide variety of items from herbal tea/coffee to bags/key-chains to Krishna idols/photos to incense sticks/dhoop! It is almost like mall actually. And all these articles are of excellent world-class quality and originality. I particularly liked their herbal/organic tea, coffee and tea masala very much. Really great taste! Generally ISKCON temples also have an on campus restaurant named “Govinda’s”. They make really delicious and sumptuous food there. It is pure vegetarian and satvik. They don’t put onion and garlic in any dishes or food items. Its taste is really awesome! Overall it is a heavenly experience! Iskcon staff is very nice, polite, well-mannered, well-behaved and gives good service. It is a privilege to have such high quality temples in India! It feels fabulous to pay a visit to any Iskcon temple. Apart from Iskcon temples, I have watched many videos of Iskcon on youtube regarding lectures given by various Iskcon pandits on various spiritual topics. Their videos about Ekadashi fasting and avoiding onion-garlic were the best ones that I liked. Apart from this, they also have videos on many other interesting spiritual/religious topics. It is a treat to get such amazing knowledge and insights, which are rare to find anywhere on the internet, and too in such a well-explained, nicely compiled, concise format. I admire and appreciate the ISKCON very much. I fully support their noble mission, and wish them continued success and glory! I wish that they build a grand ISKON temple in each and every town and city of India! Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna!
