Located very close to Juhu beach I have been visiting this temple ever since I was a kid. ISKCON means International Society for Krishna Conciousness and they have many Radhe Krishna temples worldwide including three in Mumbai. the society was found by His Divine Grace A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966. the temple is one of India’s most beautiful temple of Lord Krishna in Mumbai. the presiding Deities at the temple are Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman.
The temple and the trust has only one aim to acquaint people with universal principles of self-realization and Krishna consciousness, to develop spiritual understanding, unity and peace. the temple has a very tranquil atmosphere. the chanting of the Holy Names: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare goes on continuously and your mind is at peace and you tend to forget all your problems. the temple is very big with ample space for seating, meditating and praying.
Parking is also not a problem. they also have food stalls outside in the vicinity of the temple serving superb and tasty chaat, samosas, sweets and many more other items. they also have stalls selling Bhagvad Gita, other religious books, incense sticks, etc. the temple timings are 4.30a.m to1.00p.m and then 4.30p.m to 9.00p.m. its a must visit place and a very big tourist attraction and the peace of mind you can get is unimaginable.
