Islamabad, the World's second beautiful capital

I had been living in Islamabad for more than 1 year. it is really a very nice city.

Islamabad means the City inhabited by Islam or Muslims. It is the Capital of Pakistan. It became the capital of Pakistan in 1960. Before 1960 Karachi was the Capital of Pakistan.

Islamabad is the world’s second most beautiful capital. Many websites have rated Islamabad as second beautiful capital, here are the links:

Islamabad was constructed through a very extraordinary planning. It is said that, in 1960, its structure was copied from USA. Because, those days, Pakistan was growing to develop relations with USA.

Islamabad is very green and has many plants.   People of Islamabad are not as friendly as compared to Karachi. However, streets in Islamabad are really quite. Street system, the blocks, numbers of homes is really a great success of the government of Federal district.

Islamabad is very famous for different events as well as many tourist resorts. Let us explain them briefly:

In July 2007, the Musarraf, president of those days operated a madrassah called Lal masjid. Though it was a political activity. Many people from bothe sides were killed but this operation took the world attention towards Islamabad.

In 2014, Political instability took a lot of attention to this city because two of the well known Pakistani parties decided to protest against the government. This protest was world’s longest of it’s type. There were hundred thousands of people protesting in D-Chowk Islamabad for the resignation of prime minister. The protest continued for 126 days. It was also one of the world’s best-managed due to its duration, the number of protesters, the well managed system of boarding and lodging etc.

Well-known tourists’ destinations in Islamabad are Shakarparian museum of natural history, Lok Virsa Museum, Islamabad King Faisal Mosque, National Monument, Pak-China friendship Center, Rawal Lake, Pir Sohawa, Daman e Koh, Islamabad Zoo and Centaurus.
