So this movie is a adaptation of one of the books written by Stephen King, famous like Chaten Bhagat in India.
IT is a horror movie off course of a town Derry about missing kids who are hunted by a ghost that is a clown. Sure when I think about the book with the same plot back in 1986, one will be terrified reading it. But in 2017 a adaptation film of it fails to scare you or gross you because we have seen a lot of scary movies maybe.
So to scare us more, there has to be few notches up of scariness or other wise its funny!
same thing happened here, IT is more funny then scary.
The movie start with, Georgie a little boy goes missing while playing with a paper boat in rains, after which number of other kids one after another were going missing, living the town terrified. So looser kids named by the bullies accidentally get together and seemed having same kind of scary encounters by the this evil who looks like clown.
these kids decide to find out whats going on?
so they get to know about the clown like what history the clown has and it gets back in every 27 year and kill the kids for a year and go back to sleep for 27 years again. They go find the clown to fight it, in this process they also realize the devil who feed on there sadness and fear from past that can only kill if kids are scared of him.
so they decide to not to be sacred of it, fight it and kill it.
Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman did fine job on screenplay.
I also like that the film shows some bullying issue and how hard it is to deal with it and why and how it drives from no where else but home and to what level it effects the kids, how it creates a chain and few underdogs can lose there life trying to avoid to get bullied, some credit goes to the writer.
Actors have done awesome work every one of them, personal favorite is Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis and Jaeden Lieberher. I like the on screen chemistry of all the kids.
music feel okey as there isnt any song but all back ground score, it dance good with the film
Director Andy Muschietti did fine job on adapting the screen play, I like the funny part and bit through out the movie, the jokes the awkward moments but fail to scare anyone.
the cinematography is awesome and as real as it can get, I love the feel and the color of the movie, its a neat work done on production and art designing on the screen.
So if you appreciate all the good things I have to say about the film and you like to laugh on the horror movies and also the cute funny gags in the film interest you then go at your own risk, and watch the movie.
dont be late though as it will not be running on screens for very long.
its a good worth movie if you have spent less then Rs. 200.
