Hi,
Here I will be giving a brief description of our trip to Italy.
We started our journey from UK and first went to Venice.
It is beautiful city, with rivers instead of roads and boats instead of buses. We reached Trevisco Airport in Venice on 9th April morning. From there we took a bus to Piazzale Roma . Beyond this point we need to take waterbuses, which are better known as Vaporetto.
From Piazzale Roma we took Vaporetto to Santa Lucia train station and we placed our luggage in the baggage rooms and then took Vaporetto to San Marco Square. For this square it is said that here are more pigeons than the population of Italy and it is also the most pictured square in the world. From here we bought typical masks, which are very famous in Venice.
After lunch and ice creams we headed towards Murano. Murano is an Isla1nd close to the main Venice Island and is famous for its Glass factories. There are lots of shops attracting the tourists with different and huge variety of glass items.
Rialto Bridge is another tourist attraction. From Rialto we took a Gondola ride for ½ hour (Gondolas are private boats). We roam in the narrow streets of Venice for some time and after that had our dinner. Soon after that we went back to rail station to take our train to Rome.
General tips about Venice:
1 It is advisable to take a one-day travel card, which costs around 10 Euro.
2 If you are in Venice for a single day, then you can place your luggage in the baggage rooms at Santa Lucia.
3 The first thing to do as you reach Venice, is to make the reservations for your next destination, otherwise it may be difficult to get one.
4 Do a lot of bargain for the Gondola rides. 60 Euro for 40-50 minutes for 4 people is a reasonable rate.
CHOW...
