Having done my B.E in Industrial Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education, I must say the college is considerably good. It depends on the branch you are into. Branches like Electronics and Computer Science have good teaching faculty, good labs and classrooms. Other branches like Mechanical, civil and Industrial Engineering are average. The college is moving into NBA accreditation which may help the growth of the college. There are several seminars and academic programs conducted by all the branches.

Convenient transportation both public and college
Around 70-80% placement opportunities with companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Tech Mahindra etc.
Annual Fest VERVE rocks. I must say it’s the best VTU fest
Disadvantages:
less placement opportunities in core companies
Bad canteen facilities
Less encouragement for sports
Lack of quality faculty in some branches like Industrial Engineering and Mechanical
