I have watched two movies before this movie: Tashan & Mere baap pehle aap. Both the movies were screwed up. I was having a fear to go for this movie for two reasons : there is a new comer in this movie & 2ndly, I saw the ratings as two & a half in news paper. But my friends wanted to go for this movie only, so we went for this movie on Saturday (5th July 2008). In the first few minutes of movie, I was sure that this is gonna be the hattrick for me to watch screwed up movies. But as the time passed, I started liking this movie. By the interval, I liked this movie & by the end of the movie I was so impressed that I gave decided to purchase the DVD of this movie (As soon as its gonna come in market) & add it to list of my favorite movies.
The storyline (Don’t worry I am not gonna tell the full story) is Jai singh Rathore alias Rats is a Rajput, but a sweet, cute, Innocent, peace loving Rajput. Aditi alias meow(she loves to have cat as pet thats why meow) is exactly opposite to Jai. She loves fighting & hit anyone who says anything bad about Rats. They are very close friends , but not lovers (At least they think about that). Parents of meow want them to get married but for them NOOOOOO.Rats & Aditi discussed with their friends about this & decided to find one girl friend for Jai & boy friend for Aditi. For the rest watch the movie.
First half is comedy. Second half is serious but in the end again its bit comedy but not as much as in 1st half. Performaance of the actors are good. I haven’t expected Imran Khan can do good acting but he is good. Although, he is not suitable for fighting scenes but suitable for Romantic scenes only. I also liked the role of Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah & Paresh Rawal. Meghna(I don’t know the real name of that girl. Meghana is the name of that girl in this movie) is cute looking but sometimes I feel she did over acting.
Overall, this movie is good. I’ll gove this movie 3 and a half stars. Imran Khan looks promising in this movie.
Kabhie Kabhie Aditi & Pappu can’t dance saala are very nice songs. You should go & watch this movie.
