Morons will love it

It was a day on which two females in my life wanted an outing. So we decided to go for a movie lunch. They both were excited about the 4 & 3.5 star rating given for this movie in various news papers, not knowing that editors & critics are also part of our society & can give you biased wrong reviews.

Whatever Amir touches turn into Gold. Why not? He surely knows the nerve & taste of Indian population. Within first 15 minutes of movie, it was clear to me that either I have to sleep or pass my time by wating in lounge. But then, I decided to observe the movie making instead of just seeing & getting involved. This is what I understood. This movie is meant for younger generation who would like to dwell in dreams of love, friendship & romance., which is far from reality.

Majority of movie is about relationships between various characters. The star cast looks good except the lead character of Jaysingh Rathod (Rats) played by Imran Khan. He is very stiff in majority of sequences, reminded me of Pradeep kumar & Rajendra kumar of olden days. Aditi (Meow)  is sweet & lovable. The stand out performance is by the old theatrical maestro of real life couple Naseer & Ratna. They are brilliant in the movie. Direction is poor & full of flaws.

We could not digest a pakka rajasthani character speaking urdu words too often. Story narration is good but predictable. Story concept is highly influenced by Dil Chahata Hai. Music is based on rhythm & A R Rehman is poor in this movie. All in all, the movie is boring for thinkers & brilliant for morons.

I would give ** rating for 35+ generation & rating for -35 generation.

Pros: Some brilliant performances, few good sequences particularly between Aditi & her brother,  the one with Jay, Aditi & her Parents & whenever Naseer & Ratna chats.
