Jaane tu ya a sweet romcom

*I know most of you must be wondering why aamir khan who avoids media, does not give interview, does not promote his own films would jump into the publicity well to promote this film and well family connections not withstanding the answer is simpleas aamir khan who is known for strong scripts would have realised that the script is weak and repeatative and would not click only on imrans charm alone and hence he jumps in and builts hype around this film as a special one and to a extent he is right as although film is not original or pathbreaking it still manages to entertain you with its strong screenplay, excllentmusic, good acting, good humourous sequences and its simplicity and warmth by which it wins you over so my verdict is go and watch this film as this will leave you smilingbut dont expect a masterpiece from aamir khan prod or you will be disappointed

story

the film story is mainly of jai(imran khan)a timid rajput who lives with his activist mother savitri(ratna) who does not want him to meet  same fate as his father(nasser) who died in a fight and aditi(genelia) an aggressive girl who are best friends and do all things together with their group of friends which include rotlu(karan) a fat nerd, jiggy(nirav) a moneyed and funny gujju boy, fiery mala(renuka kunzru) and sweet bombs(alishka) and arew in love with each other but dont admit it and are hence shocked when aditi parents assume them as couple and announce their engagement and so to clear other people doubts they decide to find partners for each other so first they find meghna(manjari) a glam girl from a broken family and then sushant(ayaz) for aditi a possesive playboy and thats when trouble starts in and jealousy and insecurity sets in as they give time to partners rather than friends and after which film petters to predictable climax and I would also add that the best point about the film is made in narration style with excellent setup for interview shown in so this in a way is a loud type comedy so you will enjoy the film
