I’m from Kerala and though we are comfortable with Hindi, its after a very long time that my family and myself watched a hindi movie in Theatre. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
About the Story

Its a very simple story. Thats one thing which I really liked. Just for the same reason, the movie, the characters looked realistic to me. It was not a story about beyond imagination posh life of few people. The success of the story was that such a simple story was narrated very well and many who watched the movie was able to relate each of those characters to someone known in their circle of friends/relatives.
Only the climax of the movie looked a bit unrealistic to me, the scenes at the airport. A man can no way run into an airport the way how Jai (Imran) in the movie runs into the airport. The movie shows cops chasing to catch him with pointed revolvers and guns. But in reality, that man will be shot in a few seconds. In the movie it somehow did not happen. But then considering the movie as a good entertainer, and considering the overall performance of the movie, the climax was okay.

The characters were so realistic. These kind of characters, friendship are among the circle of friends/cousins we have and that is what I liked the most. I was able to understand the pulse of the movie well just because of the well placed characters. The cast was also very well chosen. I’m not saying the actors did an excellent job. I would say all have performed reasonably well. According to me, the Heroine of the movie performed better than all others. The cast was perfect for the characters.

It was ok. I didn;t find anything different or any speciality in cinematography. But just the fact that the movie touched my heart.

Mind blowing. I really liked 3 songs from the movie.
1) Kabhi Kabhi Aditi
2) Kahi To Hogi Ho
3) Pappu can’t dance
A.R Rehman has done a good job here. I love those songs.

Its a very good entertainer. I don’t mind it seeing even for a second time because the movie has realistic characters and a good, simple, well narrated story keeping minor errors apart.
