This weekend I have gone to watch Jaaneman as well as Don.Comparing the movies I found Jaaneman better than Don.However businesswise Jaaneman have got off to a weak start.
Jaaneman is a triangular love story.It is like a little novel.In the later part of the movie Salman Khan help Akshay Kumar to wed Preity Zinta. In the end Salman or Akshay who will get Preity that’s the suspense of the movie.
The film has a funny first half.But it doesn’t hold up.There is only crying in the second half.It looks director have forgotten sense of humour in the second half.Audience have good time before interval.The manner the naration is done is very good.It is not an allout funny film.The film has good special effects.Preity Zinta is once more seen in USA.If one more time she is seen in USA I will boycott it.
PERFORMANCE
Salman Khan is looking very good in the film.It is one of his best performance.The only bad thing is that when he cries audience doesn’t seem to cry.
Akshay Kumar’s performance is very good.Specially his way of smiling is getting popular.
Preity Zinta looks very beautiful in the film.Her performance is also very good.
MUSIC
Anu Malik songs are slow and very good.I think songs should be cut and make it into a separate movie.
DIRECTION
Direction is very good. In fact nobody can guess that it is Shirish Kunder’s
debut direction.
Jaaneman has also have some defects like the movie Don.How did Salman believe that preity doesn’t love him? This is not clearly shown in the movie.The film is very simple and it is not good to be so simple.
Overall, it is a pleasant film.Despite good film, it is the bad luck that it doesn’t open well.There are several reasons for it. Firstly its promotion is not close to SRK Don.Don is a remake of 1978 Don so it has more demand.Media also ignore Jaaneman.Despite good merits it will turn out to be loser or Average.However its collection will pick up in forthcoming days.Distributors who have paid high money on the film will go on looses and distributors who have not paid much on film will might just make up.
