Jab Tak Hai Jaan has its own charm but it has failed to impress me much. There are few reasons because of which I couldn’t resist going for this one. Yash Chopra is one major reason and few minor reasons which I will brief you on in course of my review.
SRK I felt was not an apt selection for this role. His persona couldn’t depict the one who is 25 or 35. He might impress you if you are his fan. I am not;)
Katrina is the only Western commodity Bollywood has to portray an Anglo-Indian character since a few years and thus she plays this role with ease. Yes, she can act;)
Anushka Sharma has done it in every film and does it here too. She is there to charm and does it well. Her character has shades of the roles she played earlier n also that of Karishma Kapoor in Dil Toh Pagal hai.
Moving on to the Music, nothing great if you listen to it but onscreen, the actors add Life to it and you wouldn’t mind humming along.
Story till the intermission point is impressive but henceforth the destiny takes the charge. The second half though might keep you hooked to the screen, but it will fail to impress much.
The movie has it all but it lacks the magic Yash Chopra has created earlier with his blockbusters. Though cinematography, which has been his strength will impress you for sure.
Watch it with no expectations and you will like if not love it:D
