Still confused about whether to go in for the latest flick out in the nearest theatre...??well I guess your search and confusion should end with the profoundly well directed rather I should say well animated flick Jab We Met .....perplexed ?? why I called it well animated...?? well then those who have had a look at the promos of the film might have got the hint but for those who didn’t I have the answer ....check out the performances of bollywood’s sting bee kareena ( remember animation...!!!) and till now the quite underestimated choco boy shahid .
To be more precise no other actress could have done justice to Geet , the vibrant bhatinda girl with bubbling energy and immense stamina to chit chat on anything and probably everything , other than kareena kapoor. shahid on the other hand plays a dejected with life character aditya in the first half of the film. in the second half of the film as if they swipe their roles and its here that you can distinctly sail through the never -before experience of watching shahid giving his best ever performance uptill now. so unhesitatingly i’d rather say " welcome to the industry shahid " !!!
Inspite the second half being a little predictable , the unbeatable performances of both kareen and shahid keep u glued to the screen till the end.
Talking about the comedy , which obliterates evey form of bordem a film can afford , is the backbone of the film.this romantic comedy provides for every shade of situational comedy unlike many of the comedy films which at times propagate forced comedy.
Not to forget the extremely well written dialogues, are the strength of the film.whether the long funny monologues by kareena when she first meets shahid or the bone tickling banter between shahid and kareena throughout the film are a must to check out for.
Coming to the music of the film, well the two most played songs of any chartbuster list belong to this blockbuster i.e mauja hi mauja and yeh ishq hai... the two peppy numbers from this film force you to shake your leg and are well pictured .
So this out and out romantic comedy is a complete package in terms of well written dialogues , good music, frivolous comedy, marked by fine performances of both the actors and as the movie slowly gains popularity by the word of mouth you better go and check it out soon before you are the only one left in town !!!
