I have been an online shopper for some time and have been buying stuff from websites like fashionandyou.com, 99labels.com, styletag.com etc. I saw ads of jabong.com recently and decided to check it out too. The first couple of deliveries were fine but then I had a really bad experience with them which I want to share here.
I ordered a churidar-kurta-dupatta set from jabong on 1st April 2012 and got delivery a few days later. When I tried to wear it after a couple of days I realised that the churidar was two sizes smaller than what I had ordered. I called up Jabong’s customer care helpline and was put through to one Manish Vatra who claimed to be the Team Leader there. He promised me that the whole suit will be picked up from my house and return payment made ASAP. The suit was picked up on 11th April and the next day I sent them an e.mail confirming the same and asking for a cheque return payment.
I received no reply to my mail for 5 days and when I called Jabong again Manish Vatra claimed that according to their records the suit was picked up only on the 14th and they are yet to start the return payment process. When I demanded an explanation for the delay, he answered rudely and hung up on me.
I called Jabong again and demanded to speak to Manish’s boss and was put through to Bhushan who claimed to be the Head of Customer Care. He promised me that my cheque would be couriered the next day itself. The next day, i.e. 18th April, I received a mail from Jabong that my cheque has been couriered and an airwaybill number was given to track the shipment. When I did not receive the courier even after 3 days, I tried to track the shipment through the airwaybill number and it turned out that no such airwaybill existed. I wrote to Jabong again about this but there has been no reply till now.
Jabong had claimed to courier my cheque on 18th April but today is 24th April and I have still not received it. Jabong has stopped replying to my mails and I have given up trying to call their customer care number after the rude behaviour of Manish Vatra.
I’m writing this review so that those who read this come to know about Jabong’s fraudulent practices and avoid getting taken for a ride by them.
