I recently purchased a Coco Mademoiselle Perfume By Chanel 3.4 Oz Eau De Parfum Spray For Women from Jabong.com for a sum of rupees seven thousand two hundred seventeen(Rs. 7217/-). Dear friends, let me warn you not to make any purchases from JABONG.COM as there is a likely hood not just perfumes but all products are fake. Here’s how I got duped. I received a call from JABONG.COM after I made the purchase stating that the perfume has failed quality checks and that the perfume will not be available for the next 2-3 weeks. I was surprised when I was informed the very same night that the perfume has been dispatched(this raised an alarm in my head but I dismissed it saying that JABONG.COM does not sell fake products as mentioned on their website). 1 week later I received the perfume and I gifted it to my fiancee. After 1 week of use she complained to me that the perfume does not last long. At first, I brushed it aside thinking that how can JABONG.COM SELL A FAKE PRODUCT FOR RS.7217/-. After my fiancee complaining that the perfume scent does not persist for even an hour, I decided to do some research.

After following the guide it became apparent to both me and my fiancee that JABONG.COM is deliberately selling fake designer products to innocent Indian customers. Whats more, after I called customer care, they told me they test for quality -which turns out to be a big lie as the picture given in JABONG.COM of the perfume(here’s the link: https://jabong.com/Chanel-Eau-De-Parfum-29392.html) is that of a fake one!
Some points to remember are:
1) Genuine perfume persists for 10-14hrs, this fake one doesn’t even last for one hour.
2) The genuine perfume color is pinkish while that of the fake one we received is yellowish-brown.
3) The genuine perfume bottle has uniform walls of even thickness while the base is curved and comparatively thin. The fake one(as shown in JABONG.COM) bottle has uneven thickness and a very thick base.
4) The genuine perfume cap fits well while the fake perfume we received is slightly cracked at the side and does not fit well.
These are some of the differences between the fake and genuine products. JABONG.COM should refund my money or ship the ORIGINAL product. I STRONGLY URGE ANYONE NOT TO MAKE ANY PURCHASES FROM JABONG.COM UNTILL THEY STOP SELLING FAKE PRODUCTS.
