So friends I watched Jai gangajal at PVR Juhu in Mumbai today. I must admit that I went for this film only because I had liked the first gangajal starring Ajay devgn. This being the sequel, I had high expectations, however I was disappointed.
The cast is weak! priyanka has given a good shot but something is missing. There had to be Ajay devgn in it! and I kept thinking that the first gangajal was much better than this one.
The dialogues are just average, music is below average, plot is weak and the overall appeal is simply missing.
The film is so weak that its producer and director prakash jha had to himself play a major role in it to save the ship from sinking. Mr jha’s acting was good. but imagine him doing three things producing the film acting in it and even directing it!
many things could have been better in the film, like it could have been a little shorter, priyanka chopra could have been bit more rugged and little less mushy as SP Abha Mathur, the cast choice could have been better.
A lot is left to be desired. I can definitely say that this film is worth only and only if the ticket price is max 100 to 120, anything more than that is not justified.
May be the single screens will do better than multiplexes.
All in all a film that can be avoided. Still if you are a die hard priyanka chopra fan and wish to watch it, enjoy!
