There used to be the time when music were the vital part of the movie. Along with the good story line, acting, presence of celebrity; the lyrics of songs, music composition and singer of movies used to be essence that every audience would love to hear it. So the special care were taken. Even today we love to listen good music, but with growing popularity of movies for mass audience, movie creation team are seen not giving so much needed effort in songs and music of movies. I hardly remember if a recent movie in 100 crore club had music that were listened crazily as movies. These days movies are known by actors more than of other factor.
With his earlier bluckbluster Dabaang, BodyGaurd Ek tha tiger, Dabaang 2 crossing the magical figure of 100 crore, Salman Khan is again ready to be featured on the occasion of republic day. The Movie Jai ho is said to be remake of tamil movieStalin. Promos looks as usual of Salman Khans earlier movie, nothing such new. The verdict of movie may be out when movie releases on 24th Jan, still with the presence of Salman Khan, it may collecting high on box office. lets wait and watch for its further review.
Listening to Music of Jai Ho, There are 9 songs in total. Each song is enriched with variation of tune and wonderful music. Sajid-wajid as music composer have 5 songs in their name, Amal Malik as 3 and Devi Sri Prasad has
- Music are lovable and for it may add boost during movie time, still a memorable music that audience can keep singing even after the year of movie release(like Aashiqui 2) is lacking here. Let me tell you more about its songs.
1) Title track: Jai Ho,
Lyrics: Shabir Ahmed, Music: Amal Mallik, Singer- Wajid
The lyrics of song is beautiful. Being the title song, it had to be widely accepted and unique then others. So, the song is likeye zindagi, sabko milli, insaniyo ki raha pe chalo. ". The part of song is inEnglish.Lyrics is very small and hence it has very little to sing other thanJai ho. I wish it had more good https://lyrics. Still, as title song, it is good. Music works here.
My rating 3 out of 5.
2) Tere naina maar hi dalenge
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan, Music- Sajid Wajid Singer: Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal
This is a romantic number sang by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal. This is one among the few song I love in this movie. "Tere naina bade hi katil maar hi dalenge.". Choice of words in lyrics is lovely(the best of movie songs according to me in terms of overall music, lyrics and singing) and music is like you can afford to keep listen again and again. The female and male singer balances the song on both side. Male singer and female singer singing different lyrics make it better. Overall, you will love this song, but at one time it may start fading after few excessive. I remember the song from bodygaurd "teri meri kahani.". I could compare these two songs but latter one clearly ahead.
My rating 3.5 out of 5
3) Tum ko to aana hi tha
Lyrics: Shabir Ahmed, Music: Amal Mallik, Singer- Armaan Malik
It is another romantic number that I am loving it and have listened it more than ten times today. Armaan has sang it beautiful while the support from female singer boosts the song. The word of Shabir Ahmed are simple but a mix of english words between the lines make it beautiful to listen. The lyrics is great and background music played within the song is worthy to notice. But again, this 4 minute long song doesnt have sufficient charm like I would want to keep in my mobile for forever romantic songs. My rating 3.5 out of 5.
4) Because I Love you till the end
Lyrics: Armaan Malik, Music: Amal Mallik, Singer- Armaan Malik
This is the complete English romantic number which might have been added hoping to include urban audience. It is fast type of song(might be something played in disco, I havent seen its music video though). The echos and repetition during the song are good and they have good music. The song of 3.55 minute is beautiful but Not of class that english songs are made.
My rating 3 out of 5.
5) Nachoe Re.
Lyrics and Music: Devi Sri Prasad, Singer: Ujjayinee
Beginning with the Drum and clapping, music starts in classical tone in this song. But this is actually fast song sung by female singer. There is nothing more in the lyrics, but variation of music through out the song is treat to listen.
My rating 2.5 out of 5
6) Photocopy
Lyrics: Kausar Munir, Music: Sajid-Wajid, Singer: Himesh Rehsammiya.
The song is a type of regional song(most probably north indian music sang during some festival or similar to item song that are played in mass). Himesh has given his voice. Personally, this is not the type of music I listen, but music is well played. My rating 3.0 out of 5
7) Baaki Sab first class hai
Lyrics: Sajid, Music Sajid Wajid, Singer Sajid
This is a type of song sang that you often find in every salman khans movie. It says as "apna kaam banta, bhaad me jaye janta." The words are like they conveying/awaring something of people and may be it is kept in important part of movie like during public awarenes. I liked the lyrics and music composition while it is to be seen how music video of this song is made. "Raawan ka lila kaafi hai, baaki sab first class hai. Words are unique and it may be one of that song that people will keep remembering.
My rating 4.0 out of 5.
Overall, the songs of Jai Ho are in average, they are treat to listen, but we cant also expect lively music on this movie as producer/director didnt thought the music part to be focused. Since the movie is not musical movie, we can say music fits the movie. Movie has cleared the first level, now it is to see how movie will work on box office.
I will come back with the movie review on 24th evening, till then happy reading, keep writing.
*My overall rating of Jai Ho Songs and Music
3 out of 5*
