The correct spelling is Sanganer, by the way.
The airport is about 15 km from the city centre, but as it is on a main highway (towards Kota) reaching is not much of a problem. There do not seem to be public buses to the airport, but you can use them and walk a few hundred metres from Sanganer on the highway. While leaving the airport, there are plenty of taxis and autos.
The airport is served by all the main domestic airlines down to Air Deccan. It has plenty of connections to Delhi and Mumbai, and even a daily flight to Dubai and on some days Bangkok and Singapore.
The building looks reasonably clean and modern. The facilities are nothing great except the restaurant which is run by Rambagh Palace (a major 5-star hotel), but the food is not quite 5-star standard.
In general the facilities are all right but it gets rather crowded in the morning and evening when several flights are bunched together. It might be problematic if it is upgraded to an international airport and has to handle larger numbers.
