Hello guys, I have lived in Jaipur and my experience about the city might be of help for you.
First of all, Jaipur is not just a good city in terms of tourism but also from a residential point of view. The place is neat, tidy and one of the better managed cities of India. It will be hard for you to see unnecessary wastes underlying here and there or open sewage lines as such. This is one thing which you will often witness in Indian cities because waste management is one of the least looked after aspect of Indian political system untill last elections.
But Jaipur not only has tidyness, it has very well built roads, flyovers, organized traffic arrangements, proper guidance and layout signs, very organized transportation system, a healthy atmosphere, city greenery, perfect electricity supplies, water supplies and all that you need.
For travel, it is one of the best places to visit. You will find much fun travelling the city. The old city which is apparently called the Pink city because every building over there is painted in a trademark orangish-pink colour. The market looks the same and any new person could easily be confused while roaming from one road to other. There is Hawa Mahal in old city which has thousands of sculpted windows which make for a beautiful view. Then there is the Amber Fort which is located in the outskirts amd happened to be the residence and capital of Jaipur during the reign of royal rajput rulers. It is one of the best forts which India possess. The city is very advanced and you have every modern setup established at your service. The connectivity can not have been any better being close to Delhi and in between the Delhi-Mumbai track. The Jaipur city shall be visited by every Indian for once at least to know how a developed city can be made out of a developing city. I love Jaipur for everything, the people, the places, the atmosphere, the cinvenience and the lifestyle.
