I have been to Jaipur last February. It is rather clumsy to be a state capital. The water quality was not good. Probably it is ground water. It seems not to have any good river water source/good quality water source. The town is full of dust/dirt. Being tourist place there are touts everywhere trying to fleece the unwary visitors. There was an attempt to take us to private emporium, named just to sound like a government enterprise. Everyone employed there were repeating that it is a Govt undertaking and no bargains. But when their bills did not have the ST Regn numbers and had the word quotation at the top we got suspicious and escaped quickly. Later we found that the prices are 400 to 500% more than what we could get in the market. But the places of tourist importance are just great and deserve to be visited and seen at least once.
