The employees put great effort to do the best they can. The lake is almost dry. The resort that was once a splendor is not maintained, and is in ruins. Resort once seems to have taken in lots of tourists, and investment. Now only the hardy survive. The lake dried, so did the tourists. Those unaware will reach this place to find it utterly in disrepair.
The best part of the trip is the food, which is amazingly good. All meals were included in the package. There is also a camel ride and a row boat trip across the lake. The camel ride is good, and highly recommended is do decide to go there.
The rooms are not maintained, and there is dust al over the place. Feel sad for the employees who have seen better days. The history of the largest state manmade lake is quite interesting. The State and the Udaipur city keeps pumping the water from this lake for the city of whatever the water remains. No one seems to care for the environment and the wildlife.
