I visited a restaurant "Jalsa" situated on Outer Ring Road, Bangalore.
The name intrigued me and So we went there on a thursday evening. First of all - on a thursday evening - it was full.
We ordered some soup, Kababs, roti, a chicken gravy and a Biriyani. Soup was obviously not made from fresh ingredients (that was the low point of the dinner). But the rest of the food was good. Especially the Rarah Chicken and the kababs were just awesome. The desserts were not impressive (we had mal-pua.. it was rubbery and too sweet). The ambience was pretty neat and had a certain charm to it. Though I thought the music selection was not in line with the theme (they were playing modern bollywood songs - something more rustic and instrumental with sarangi and tablas would be more apt.
All in all, it was a good experience and would recommend it to any one.
One caution, go if you have your own car / bike. No autos to get back.
