Ive always been a big fan of Feroz Khan. Whatever else you say about the man, he does have an inimitable sense of style. The only unfortunate thing is, he hasnt really kept up with the times. Things have changed, audiences have changed, tastes have evolved and what used to sell in the 1970s and 1980s, just doesnt hack it anymore.
Well, whatever, Janasheen still has all the essential FK elements - a beautiful Celina Jaitley who has a stunning body, and is not afraid to show it, a passably charming Fardeen Khan (he doesnt have the brash, in-your-face attitude which Anil Kapoor portrayed so well in Feroz Khans earlier film, Janbaaz, but still...), superbikes, fights, stunts, a few nice song-and-dance routines (the music isnt so bad, really...) and the indomitable Feroz Khan himself, as Saba Karim Shah. He might be getting old, but his dialogue delivery is stylish as ever.
I do wish Johnny Lever and his stupid, inane comedy had been kept out of this film, but otherwise, Janasheen is not so bad. Who cares about the plot - when you go to watch a film which is called Janasheen, what do you expect? If nothing else, watch the film for Celina Jaitley and her pair of nice, round, big, beautiful.... ...er, eyes. For those three hours, itll be the 1980s all over again, Feroz Khan style... :-)
