After the tiring day I headed in search of “heaven” which was very close to my office and I had my advance booking done for the same. Well are you confused? Hold on ! don’t click the cross button to close the webpage; before you click the “Not Useful” for this review let me talk in layman’s language which my parents taught me years ago. So what I meant was I had my tickets booked for the movie “Jannat” in the movie hall close to my office.
This is a movie about the “Ring Master” and his “SiXth SenSe” and Cake walk.
Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) who’s Life is easier than the life of Tata, Birla’s and Ambani’s of the world, which GOD has written with Golden Pen and everything just falls into place as and when he wants or even dream off. So when this small time gambler falls in love with so called “pimple girl” sorry “dream girl” Zoya(Sonal Chauhan) who in turn falls in love with the diamond ring. To get the girl Arjun buys the diamond ring (with borrowed money) and to pay the debts he gets into the business of “betting” in cricket and becomes rich within fraction of seconds rather nano-seconds. Now before you can take a sip of your coffee (which seems more interesting than the movie) Arjun has a car, bungalow girlfriend and “the ring” in South Africa. He gets into the full time betting due to the “SiXth SenSe” that he has, and becomes an important man of some “DON” of South Africa.
In the mid of all the happiness that Arjun has in his “No Chakravayuh” life enters the villain, this villain is an inspector (Samir Kochhar) in India but when he lands in S.A. he suddenly becomes CBI agent and all the cape town police comes under him (Indians have something I must say ..). Now what happens next is worth to know but then I want everyone to spent same amount of movie which I invested and suffer the way I did. (chuckles)
Now coming on to the Screenplay, I must say that they truly played with it. My dear Vishesh Bhatt (screenplay writer), even if we give you Maggi noodles to prepare you have the capacity to spoil it so no wonder the potential plot was completely molested by you. I wish Life would have been as easy as you showed in most of the scenes, especially the scene where “Arjun” realizes his sixth sense capabilities and win lakhs altogether. I wish I can replace GOD with you so that you can bless me with such life.
Our Director saheb (Kunal Deshmukh) has done a phenomenal job in vomiting the movie the way the screenplay has been written, boss “thodi acting kara lete” , even if the movie scripts would have been given to actors they themselves would have done the job without the director so what was he doing there. All the scenes have been directed as if “director sahib” was making a documentary. Nothing gives me a feel of a commercial cinema especially the entry of “Zoya” looked like some junior artist entry, but then I realized that her role is nothing more than a junior artist role. In one word “Disappointed”.
Talking about the main characters of the movie “The Ring” and the “Sixth sense” have done a brilliant job in the movie. Movie solely lies on their potential as they play the most important role in the movie, and the diamond ring has more scenes than any other artist. Other sub caste like Emraan hasmi and Sonal Chauhan has “ACTED” and “ACTED” and “ACTED” in the movie.
Our kissing boy Emran is always same put him in any movie, apart from “booking and betting” he was allowed to kiss for two seconds which disappointed him as well as the audience. Thanks to his revealing "tummy" I realised I have to hit GYM tomorrow.
Sonal chauhan poor gal could have asked the director to deduct some money from her remuneration and hire a better make-up artist who could have atleast covered her pimple in a better way.
Sameer kochhar/ VishalMalhotra performed better than anyone else in the movie. Rest of the cast includes one more person as bhatt camp could not afford enough artists.
Dialogues are good at some places,
Cinematography is rarely good,
Action sequences are missing throughout the film and
Editor went absconding after the interval. Locales of Cape Town are worth talking about but then it wasn’t a tourism documentary.
Music and Songs are the only things to be talked about which is a predictable fact about bhatt camp movies. Most of the songs are good,
but title track “Jannat jahaan” by Rupan Islam,
“Jara Si Dil main de jagah tu” by KK and
“Lambi Judai” by Richa sharma are the best among the lot and you would just love listening them over and over again.

Well honestly I did not want to sound sarcastic at all but then when I see such movies coming out of Bhatt camp again and again, I wonder which “success formula” they are trying to follow. The movie is out and out waste of the “Plot” “Our time” and thankfully they did not take great actors and saved their time. Come on “Bhatt camp”, audience are not kids with lollypop in their mouth, how long will you keep making movies which is not even worth of 1/4th of the ticket amount paid. Just pick any random topic, actors, write four lines screenplay and start making a movie. My closing remark to our screenplay writer : “Life isn’t that easy…” where your dreams are like “fast foods” which you desire and you get it in five minutes.
Thankfully I did not sleep on Thursday night as I had deadlines to finish the next morning, it worked for me in such a wonderful way which I never ever had guessed, It helped me crashing on my bed after the movie otherwise “Jannat” wasn’t a heavenly experience… Trust Me!!
