This week’s episode of Jassi jaisi koi nahin, saw the male protagonist Armaan dressed up as a female as he had lost his bet with his dress designer Maddy. I was thinking that the Jassi people are going to mess up the serial by taking this step, but when the episode was aired I was pleasantly surprised that it was handled with dignity and humour providing fun for the viewers..
Even in a female get up Armaan was far superior to the other heroes of other female oriented serials like KKusum, Kumkum and the likes, who are found so subdued in the presence of their heroines (and only say as much as ’’mein tumse kitna pyaar karta hoon, or tumhare bina mera zindagi adoori etc, etc...) which go and go about parivaar and the khaandaan stuff leaving you in tears of disgust and weariness.
It was real unbridled joy to watch our own bespactacled, bracy Jassi again taking the role of a knightnes ( knight) in shining armour, coming to the rescue of her Armaan Sir. Her shy laughs at Armaan’s get up through the shining braces, were far more watchable than any other namesake attempts at humour of other serials, like in Kasauti zindagi kay, where one of the character imitates Salmaan Khan making a feeble attempt at providing humour.
Who would have thought that such a girl, Jassi, would find so many fans all over the place, that last night Jassi was a guest at the megafinals of the Boogie- woogie dance show. Way to go Jassi !!! Jassi jaisi koi nahi, Jassi jaisi !!!
