Surely among the best, but will be forgotten soon

Let me start by saying that Kapil Paaji is the greatest pace bowler from India for now.

The karnataka quartet was a ploy by Messrs. Gundappa Vishwanath & Brajesh Patel. Stating this, I felt this gentleman joined the team during one of the tumultous periods of team selection.

His team skills. No doubt that he is a warrior. He is not a world-beater. He is an average bowler when it comes to world standards.

He didn’t prove exceedingly well under trying conditions in australia/sa consistently.

An one off 5 wicket haul once in a while is not so important. Consistency is. His injury prone career and attitude individual differences casts him out.

I am sorry to say but think that his days in Indian team is over. I feel that he’ll be duly forgotten in 5-8 years like Chetan Sharma, RMH binny, Madan Lal et al.

He hasn’t done a thing to replace Kapil Dev.

Mr. Srinath, thanks for your services and all the best for your future career
