I had purchased my iffalcon 55 smart android tv in 2018 end from Flipkart. Along with tv I also purchased 2years extended warranty from Jeeves by paying additional INR 4000 (not knowing that they are the most unprofessional looters out there just waiting to cheat customers.)
Recently in March 2020, unfortunately my TV stopped working without any sign off damage. The brand warranty was already over, so I called Jeeves customer care and requested for service. Also sent the invoice and the warranty copy over the email to Jeeves. ( Strangely they only prefer the email to be sent by your Gmail ID only, even if your registered email id with Jeeves is other than Gmail.. Bullshit...)
Jeeves created a ticket number 1802886 on 1st March, and scheduled the inspection on 2March. The service person came took down the tv from wallmount and opened the back side using screwdriver. He told that the power board is burnt and requires to be replaced. He said he will order a new power board, it will take at least 15days and then come to replace it. He did not want to put back all the screws on back side saying he is anyway coming after 15days so no need to worry. But I insisted and made him put back all the screws. Entire operations he performed without gloves, with his dirty hands and continuously talking over his mobile phone.
I waited for 13days and then when I followed up with Jeeves customer care, I was informed that the replacement part is arrived and the same person will come tomorrow to fix the issue.
On 13th Mar, I called to check the status the customer care informed that the person should come in the morning between 10-11am, and the service guys names is Manjunath, his contact number is 9902888230. So I thought of checking with the service guy directly. To my surprise, he told that he has not got the replacement part yet and he can not come that day in any case. How can someone lie straight on the face. In this case both service guy and customer care was taking two different things.
I called customer care next day (14th Mar) and requested to send the technician that day in any case since my TV was not working for last 15days. Later the same day, I got call from the same technician Manjunath and he told me that even though he fas got the replacement part (the power board), he will not come to fix the tv since the issue is not covered under extended warranty. (What the heck..!). He did not give any further justification why it is not covered. Why he was calling this only on the very day when he was supposed to come and fix the issue. He suggested that I shou call the customer care and find out.
So among all this confusion, I called customer care and asked for the justification. As usual they were not aware of this response of technician and asked for another 48 hours only to find out whether this power board issue is covered under external warranty.
I have enough plight and worst experience while dealing with Jeeves. At this time while I am writing this, the tv is still not fixed. I need to for 48 hours to get over to find out if Jeeves will provide the service to replace the power board and deliver the service that they promised while taking INR 4000 from me. I have read the entire terms and conditions of warranty copy and can tell that it is definitely covered under the warranty but it is Jeeves who just do not want to deliver service once the money landes in their pocket.
I would suggest from this experience that you should not buy any extended warranty from Jeeves. In stead go for some other good service provider, or just save the same money and use yourself when you tv or other device need it.
Will write further update once I hear something fro Jeeves.
