Few months back my family travelled to India on Jet Airways. Half way thru the journey, they were told that connecting flight is cancelled due to maintenenace issue. My family with kids were put on another flight connecting thru another airport in India.
The only reason for paying a hefty fare on Jet Airways was, that my family could get to my place with less connections, and they have to go thru customs and immig at different airport in the middle of the night, where they speak different language. Yes, India has more than 25languages, and if you can’t know every language. My family doesn’t know the local language, and they were screwed...
There was ABSOLUTELY no help from jet airways. When I called the customer service, they were horrible people, just repeating statement from their scripts.
I didn’t know when my family would get to my place, and which flight they were in, and if they had any thing to eat...Then finally after they landed, I came know, the pain they had to go thru. They had to check out the luggage, which was 6 large suitcases, and 6 other handbags, kids bags, etc. put them on a bus to go to another terminal. In India, the domestic and international terminals are not connected.
I complained to Jet Airways to the GM Customer service, in the US. Guess what, I got 2000miles and free upgrade on next trip... Who wants the miles and free upgrade, when we made up our mind not to travel on this airline ever again.
I would strongly suggest, not to take this airline at any cost. As long as your flight is not cancelled or delayed, you are a happy person, else pray to God....
