I have a very bad experiencing flying by Jet Airways from Bangalore to Mumbai ( Flight No.: 9W484) on 14th Ocober 2006.
Two flights were supposed to be departing. 9W442 from Bangalore to Pune at 20:55 and another 9W 484 from Bangalore to Mumbai at 21:30.
First there is an announcement that flight 9W 4442 is cancelled due to some technical reasons and then after some time there is another announcement that the flight 9W 484 is cancelled due to technical reason.
Later there is another announcement that passengers of flight 442 can proceed towards the aircraft at Gate No 2.
Later we come to know that all the passengers of flight 9W 442 have been transferred to the the aircraft that was supposed to be leaving for Mumbai.
When all the passengers went to talk to the Jet Authorities about this, they refused to accept this and were not willing to help had there not been a chaos and passengers yelling.
Later, at 11:00 they arranged for another aircraft from Chennai and boarded all the passengers for Mumbai.
But, what about the passengers who had to catch International flights from Mumbai ?
Having heard from many passengers who were supposed to be travelling to International destinations from Mumbai., I too was quite annoyed with this POOR SERVICE of jet airways.
RANKED AS THE ONE OF THE BEST AIRLINE IN INDIA, COULDN’T JET HAVE A SUPPLEMENTARY AIRCRAFT FOR SUCH SITUATIONS ??
Moreover, I was travelling with my wife and 10 month old baby,
THERE WAS A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE IN FARE FOR INFANTS BETWEEN JET & KINGFISHER.
FOR INFANTS, KINGFISHER CRARGED US Rs. 225 and JET CHARGED US Rs. 1662 FOR THE SAME MUM-BANG SECTOR.
I could not understand why was there such a masssive difference in the fare ??
THE SEATS GIVEN TO US WAS HORRIBLE AND THE SERVICE MORE HORRIBLE...
i GUESS IF THERE WAS AN AWARD FOR WORST AIRLINE, JET WOULD’VE WON THIS AWARD EASILY !!
