This morning I had a 9:35 flt from CCU-BOM (9w 2403) - Jet Konnect. There was a technical snag and the flt took off only at 12:05noon to reach BOM at 14:20 instead of 12:15pm. There was an overall 2.5 hrs delay. Moreover it was almost lunch time that the flight was in motion.
During the technical snag, we were all sitting in the aircraft with engines shut (no AC/ proper cooling).
While we understand that it is in the better interest of the passengers that the action was promptly taken.. I dont understand why we were not compensated. I expected a simple meal gratis for all the delay. Immediately as the flt took off.. the cabin crew shamelessly and absolutely unapologetically started SELLING MEALS! Attrocious…
We were stranded in the aircraft.. had it been on the airport… we would have had umpteen eating options… but here even the choice of food was not available. I was closer to the front exit and hence managed to get something. I heard a lot of people say.. give us what ever u have… Such is the situation of the best and the most popular carrier in INDIA.
I am sure the cabin crew had an awesome SALE today.. the best ever on any give time… Kudos to them.
It was just not our fault that we were made to wait in the aircraft… not do I put the blame on the airline … in such a situation basic courtesy and humanity demanded a simple sandwich with a juice gratis.
We are all money minded.. no doubt about it… that’s precisely why human values like humility, kindness and basic courtesy doesn’t exist any more.
