To put it straight and to be fair, the only opportunity I have had got to travel by Jet Airways was on the Mumbai - London route(official visits). I have always compared it with Emirates and Lufthansa because those are the ones that I used to take before Jet Airways started operating on this route.
Following are things I found good with Jet in comparison to Emirates and Lufthansa -
While boarding the flight from Heathrow(London) towards Mumbai, a member of crew of Jet Airways came with a tray ofboondi ke laddoos. This was so delightful - especially when you are staying in a different country away from home and at the time of going home someone greets you with indian sweets!
A colleague had once asked for another helping of the meal - and the air hostess gracefully served him with the second meal tray. He was once travelling by Emirates and the Emirates air hostess just denied it.:-(
They served the passengers with Kulfi as a dessert after dinner:)
The announcement that they make when landing at Mumbai airport goes -Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to India. Fellow Indians, WELCOME HOME!. That is so very homely:-)
On demand movies and a very good collection of movies. In Emirates, you geton-demand movies only when the aircraft is a boeing(never on an airbus) and in Lufthansa there is no TV at the back of the seat so no question of on-demand movies.
Luggage allowance is more than Emirates/Lufthansa. In fact they dont mind of the luggage is a bit too heavy.
Cabin crew behave quite decently compared to Emirates.
