I travel in India and abroad quite substantially. Am a Platinum card member of Jet Privilege and take the flight and do like their service and punctuality and overall efficiency. I have piled up over 100, 000 miles.
For the past few months, I have been trying to encash these miles into air tickets. I made several requests of which only a few were honoured. Most of the times I was told that there were no tickets, despite making requests one week in advance! When I wrote to them, I was informed that there is a’small’ amount of seats only for encashment and they are full! They will not reveal how many seats though. To pacify me, they offered me a ticket(well after I had purchased a full price ticket and finished my travel too!).
This is a total hoax and a scam - the mileage points of Jet mean nothing. Compare it with even Indian Airlines - you get encashment across the counter while Jet will take three days and will also tell you its not available!
This is sad and unfair.
