The online site of Jet Airways has been down since Aug 17th, and I was informed today (Aug 18) by their Jet Privilege Customer Service that it will not be up until Monday, Aug 20th.
JA normally allows us to book each segment online using 9000 miles. Calling the call center for the same ticket costs us 15, 000 miles. Even though I am not able to book the ticket online and hence am being forced to call the JA Call Center - they are not willing to provide me the ticket at the online booking cost of 9000 miles.
Brent de Silva; ID 4386 was the JA call center agent I spoke with and he refused to allow me to speak with the Supervisor either. This is clearly wrong. Since the airline is at fault and is not allowing customers to book through their online website it should be their responsibility to provide a credit to customers looking to book online and they should not be charging extra.
This is a service that I am getting as a Jet Platinum Customer - wonder what service they would have provided if I were a normal customer.
