I travel abroad quite a lot, and sometimes within India as well. I have travelled on a lot of International airlines, and recently travelled by Jet on the Dubai-Mumbai sector.
I have to tell you that I have also travelled on Jet on domestic sectors a few times. Having travelled quite a lot, I feel it is quite a decent airline, with extremely helpful staff who are ready to go that extra mile.In terms of punctuality and service, I would say it was quite impressive as well.
A lot of people have come forward with negative impressions of the airline, but in 9 out of 10 cases, I feel the passenger is to blame as either they don’t understand the regulations, or then they believe that because they are paying the fare, they own half the airline.
It is very sad, but this is the truth. Agreed that a few cases may be there where the passenger is ill-treated or harassed, but such cases are a one-off incident and happen with many airlines.
Recently, when I was on one of their flights, I noticed the crew help as senior citizen in such a way, that I was highly impressed. Not only did they help her in her situation, but they went far beyond their call of duty and helped her. I feel this is a good airline, worth your money and I will definately travel by Jet again.
