It is most fortunate that my first experience of flying was with the Jet Airways and I have never looked back. Well to be frank flying in India is a real enlightening experience because though one reaches ones destination faster, but the experience of reaching the airport and the flying experience itself used to leave a bitter taste in the mouth.
It was in this scenario that Jet Airways made a entry into the airline sector and I think that it had not had to look back. The State owned Indian Airlines I presume had a history of bad service, so I am told because I do not have an experience of travelling by Indian Airlines.
Of my impression with Jet Airways the straight forward fact is that the service is good and the air hostesses and the flight pursers really take care of the needs of the passengers in a clinical fashion.
The planes are the new 747s from the Boeing Company and thus very good too.. also they being clean and spacious for comfortable travelling makes a lot of a difference for long overhauls though Indian skies are less longer as compared to American or Australian domestic flights.
Food inflight is the good part though the non veg food may be a bit staid compared to the vegetarian fare.
All said and done if only the fares are brought down a little to the affordable side then we could all be saying jet set and go for a long time and the overall travelling experience by Jet Airways would then be really recommended.
