Insentive and Rude behavior of Jet Airways staff at Kolkata Airport.


This happened today. My wife and daughter were supposed to travel by Jet Konnect to Bangalore. By mistake my wife stood in the line for Jet privilege customers. After a few min she was asked to move to the regular line. When her turn came for the check in, she was told that she was a few min late and that she cannot board the plane.


This is when there was still 40 odd min to departure. Despite all requests, she was not allowed to board the flight. And then we were forced to post-phone our flight by a day and charged Rs 7500 extra. When she tried to complain to the duty manager, she was told that your mobile clock is wrong and our timings show that you were 8 min late and hence we can’t do anything.


It takes no great training or expertise to say that we cant help you. It takes supreme arrogance to ignore the plight of a sole woman passenger and a kid in tears citing rules.


Or is that a strategy to get additional revenue from customers in peak season. This is the same airlines which put me on hold for 15 min when I called customer service yesterday! This is the same airline where ticketing agent takes 10 min to change a ticket. And they say that you are 8 min late!


And when I send in a complaint by email, a reply comes back calling me Mr Vaidya!!!. What a sham they dont even care to check my name before replying to me!
