I have been a platinum member of jet airways for many years now. But increasingly you get a feeling that their loyalty programme is a sham when it comes to redeeming the miles. In last more than a year, I have not been able to redeem the miles even if I plan 4-5 months in advance.
They just dont allow any redemption of points. Case in point being my July travel to Kolkata where the only redemption available is on hopping flight. For all other flights, the status is ’Sold Out’. This is standard reply they have been giving for any redemption attempt. If they do not want to encourage the redemption, then why the farce of running a loyalty programme.
The loyalty was one reason for people like me preferring Jet. But if this is also not run in the right spirit, its clear indication for loyal passengers of Jet to move to more efficient airlines like Indigo.
