On a domestic travel, when the luggage didn’t come in the belt, went to Jet missing luggage counter. There were no body around the missing luggage counter. We noticed near to the counter few jet folks are busy opening up other people misplaced bag and taking out stuff.
Some of us who also has cases like mine were shocked and surprise. How can the Jet employee be so cheap in taking stuff from other people bag. When we ask them why are they opening up other people bag, the answer was as per DGCA guideline if nobody claim the luggage for 6 month it become the property of Jet Airways. Never new such rule exist .
They gave me a cell no to contact and no body pick up the phone. They happily left for the day without updating me on the status
The customer care guys says the vendor in change of this is not picking up the phone and so he cannot help me.
So please take a spare cloth if you are on a business trip. I has a horrible time because on a business trip trusted Jet and run into real mess.
