It is very sad that Sahara Airlines has degenerated into a very poorly run setup. I will cite 3 instances of seriously bad service within last 1 & 1/2 years. Now, I think this Sahara airlines cannot be trusted at all.
I was flying from Bangalore to Guwahati via Kolkotta bu Sahara. At Kolkotta, before boarding Sahara’s connecting flight to Guwahati all passengers need to identify their luggage. To my horror I found my suitcase, but the luggage tag was missing. I was just lucky that I could locate my suitcase.
My wife was flying alone from Guwahati to Bangalore via Kolkotta. When she reached Kolkotta, she is told that the onward flight to Bangalore has been removed(The flight did not even exist anymore, even though they had issues a confirmed ticket for this flight). It was very difficult situation for a single women in an unknown city to be stranded like this. When asked why they did not inform her earlier, they said that they called and her phone was not reachable. What a lame excuse. Not only that, they lost her luggage and we go her suitcase back one week later only when she went to the Bangalore airport to collect it personally. They had promised us they will deliver it to our house the next day.
Once again Sahara flight from Bangalore to Guwahati, this time via Delhi. When we reach the airport in the morning they say that the Delhi Guwahati flight has been cancelled. Once again their excuse was that they called and out phones were not reachable. As a result we could not fly that day and had to travel by Kingfisher the next day.
I do not trust Sahara airlines anymore. Not only they are unreliable, they spoil well planned holidays. In the last incident we lost considerable money as we had to purchase tickets in the last last moment at full price. Sadly, I recall that Sahara once had very good service years back.
