I purchased an Economy class E-ticket of Sahara Airlines on through India Times Travel (Indiatimes.com) on 1st September 2006.
My order number was 110310987
PNR of India Times was JPGDSD.
NET AMOUNT PAID Rs. 3962=00
When the ticket was dilivered I found that it was Non Refundable/ Non Reroutable. It was "N" class.
While booking & on confirmation downloded and print : "Payment Sucess " it showd "Economy Class".
Due to some personal reason I wanted to cancelled the ticket. Sahara Airlines stall at Sahara Sadan, Kolkata refused to cancelled the ticket.
While booking the ticket neither India Times Travel terms & condition nor Airline, s terms & conditions pointed that ticket is non refundable. Nor it appeared in India Times Form I filled up in their website. No where in the form It was indicated that ticket being purchased is Non Refundable.
Again I do not find any logic behind carrying an Photo Id while check in even the proper ticket was couriered to the buyer at his address. Does airlines/ travel agents check the ID of person buying tickets across the sale counters?
I had a very bitter experince with India Times Travel & Sahara Airline. I have decided to advise All my Lions Clubs friends not to book any ticket through India Times & Of Sahara Airlines.
